
Will I be safe & secure?
Yes. Kingsgate Village has 24 hour monitored video surveillance cameras. Access via boom gates are only available to the Village residents & staff
Can I have pets?
We understand that pets form a major part of a lot of families and existing pets such as small dogs, cats & caged birds are welcome. It will be your responsibility at all times to ensure that your pets are well behaved and quiet.
Is there any stamp duty payable on my home?
No. As you are purchasing the home and leasing the land, no stamp duty is payable. This results in significant savings which can be directed to other lifestyle needs.
Can I have family or friends stay over?
Of course! However, they must follow the same rules as the Kingsgate Village residents. We believe that it is important to lead an ongoing happy & healthy lifestyle.
What about my health & well being?
We have a fully fitted doctor’s room and the local doctor will visit by appointment only or you may wish to use your own doctor to visit. We will provide a list of contact numbers for other medical services eg: chemist, podiatrist etc. You will also be pleased to know that we have a fully fitted hairdressing salon which will be open at advertised times.
Do I have to retire before I become a resident?
No. Kingsgate Village is not a retirement village. Therefore, there is no need to be retired. We only ask that you and your partner are 55 years or older. You have the flexibility to maintain whatever work situation you wish.
Who collects my rubbish?
Your rubbish is collected weekly and recycling fortnightly. All we ask is that you have your bins ready for collection on the nominated day.
What about my mail?
All homes have their own individual mail box located at the Community Centre. Mail is distributed daily and you will receive a key relevant to your mail box.
Who looks after my garden?
All front gardens and common areas are maintained by Kingsgate Village. To alleviate lawn mowing, we will have artificial turf at the front of all homes.
How do I resell my home?
You can sell your home at anytime by giving management at least 30 days written notice. You are then free to sell your home however you wish ie: through our Village Sales office, yourself or a local Real Estate Agent.
Can my weekly contribution fee rise?
Yes. Fees will be increased once a year and are strictly limited and may not be greater that the Consumer Price Index (CPI). The fees are adjusted at the same time as your pension and rental assistance rebate.
